The Walmart Foundation State Giving Program awards grants to nonprofit organizations throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico for programs that give individuals access to a better life. The final funding round of the year is currently underway, with a deadline of August 11. This funding cycle includes organizations that are engaged in community engagement activities, which the foundation describes as “programs that focus on the unmet needs of underserved low-income populations. Examples of eligible programs include career opportunity, disaster preparedness, education programs, healthcare access, shelters, etc.”
