Ruth Barber
Partner

Ms Barber is a skilled writer, researcher, and project manager with a wide array of experience.  Since 1991 she has been involved in the community and economic development arena that began at the grass roots level as a Peace Corps volunteer and a Greenpeace employee.  Her experience includes several years of grant-writing and project management at a Chicago-based non-profit organization as well as one year as a Technical Project Manager at a Chicago dotcom.

As a partner at FUND Consulting, LLC, each year she directs more than 30 ongoing and one-time projects with mission-driven clients all around the United States.  Her areas of expertise include research design, survey design and implementation, secondary data collection, program evaluation, database development, site selection, and grant-writing.  At FUND Consulting, Ruth has managed and delivered approximately 50 market studies to CDFIs nationwide.

She is the co-author of Best Practices of College Business and Industry Centers. She holds a BA degree in International Relations from Pomona College and a MA degree in Political Science from Northwestern University.  Ms. Barber is the founder and serves on the Board of the Barber Family Foundation.


Manjima Bose
Senior Consultant

As Senior Consultant, Manjima is responsible for managing multiple client projects including facilitation of client communication, preparation and implementation of project plans, development of research tools, and production and presentation of customized reports. Her project work includes market studies, government and foundation funding applications, CDFI certification applications, reporting and compliance assistance, and marketing assistance.

With over six years of experience in the CDFI industry, Manjima brings four years of direct experience at a local CDFI where she managed the fundraising and marketing strategy for the organization while also providing market planning assistance to small business clients. A former AmeriCorps*VISTA volunteer, Manjima possesses a strong commitment to building community assets, complemented by an undergraduate degree in English from DePaul University.


David Jaglowski
Consultant

David Jaglowski is responsible for managing multiple client projects including facilitation of client communication, preparation and implementation of project plans, development of research tools, and production and presentation of customized reports. His project work includes capitalization plans, market studies, and CDFI certification applications.

Prior to joining FUND Consulting, he worked in banking as a trust officer working on structured financial products and has several years of financial experience. He also has been involved in community development through volunteer work in the city of Chicago, France, and as a Peace Corps volunteer. He holds an undergraduate degree in finance and minored in French at Northern Illinois University.


Liz Schuering
Information Resource Coordinator

As information coordinator, Liz is responsible for office management, the maintenance and management of FUND’s marketing infrastructure and online communication mechanisms, and client project support.

Liz began as an intern with FUND Consulting while completing her Master’s degree in Leadership and Policy Studies DePaul University’s School of Public Service.  She also holds an undergraduate degree from Northwestern University.  Prior to attending graduate school, Liz gained significant work experience as a paralegal for a firm specializing in construction and design litigation.


Carl Seid
Consultant

As Consultant, Carl is responsible for managing a variety of projects.  His responsibilities include client communication, preparation and implementation of project plans, development of research tools, and production and presentation of customized reports. His project work includes market studies, government and foundation funding applications, municipal surveys, CDFI certification applications, reporting and compliance assistance, and marketing.

Carl brings four years of experience as a project manager with a large commercial real estate management firm where he managed a variety of service contracts and capital building projects.  He has a BS in Political Science from Northeastern University and a MPA in Urban Affairs and Metropolitan Planning from DePaul University where he wrote a thesis on the prevalence and nature of collaboration among community-based organizations.


Lolita Sereleas
Founding Partner

Ms Sereleas provides targeted research and consulting services to non-profit organizations nationwide. These services include needs assessment, program evaluation, market analysis, fundraising and capitalization planning, board development, and strategic planning. Ms. Sereleas has 14 years experience working with the not-for-profit and government sectors through her work at Chicago area non-profit organizations and as the founding partner of FUND Consulting.

She holds an M.S. degree in Public Service Management and a Graduate Certificate in Metropolitan Planning from DePaul University. Ms. Sereleas is the author of “The ABCs of TIF” published by the American Planning Association. She currently serves as part-time faculty at DePaul University’s Public Service Graduate Program and at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
