Melissa brings over a decade of experience in nonprofit leadership, small-business ownership, and pro-bono consulting services to her role as Consultant at FUND. Passionate about community-driven economic transformation, Melissa leverages her extensive experience in grant writing, organizational capacity design, program development, and strategic planning to support both emerging and established nonprofit loan funds and nongovernmental organizations to maximize impact and expand reach.
Melissa serves on the Board of Directors for BCA Global, a NYC-based international nonprofit redefining racial equity through economic opportunity, wellness, and community solutions. She also volunteers as the lead consultant for Medicine Wheel Way, an emerging Native nonprofit that supports BIPOC communities through indigenous ceremony, celebration, and culture. She is a graduate of Brown University with a B.A. in Latin American Studies and is fluent in Spanish.
