As a Consultant, Lauren is responsible for managing a variety of projects including government funding applications, market studies, CDFI certification, and reporting and compliance assistance. Her project work includes preparation and implementation of project plans, development of research tools, research analysis, and production and presentation of customized reports.
Prior to joining FUND, Lauren worked in a variety of community development roles, focusing primarily in housing development and municipal financial policy. Most recently she was responsible for data management and analysis for Mercy Housing Lakefront, a supportive housing provider serving Illinois and Wisconsin.
Lauren has extensive experience in data analysis and research, having worked across the public and non-profit sector in Chicago, including with the Chicago Teachers Union and the Chicago Department of Transportation. She also previously served as a Fulbright-Nehru student research fellow to India, where she conducted research on women’s safety and access to public spaces in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Outside of work, Lauren plays for and administers a local non-profit roller derby league, the Windy City Rollers. She holds a Master of Urban Planning and Policy degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a BA in Geography from the University of Chicago.
